What "Confidence: unvalidated" means

Every GemID result is labelled "Confidence: unvalidated". It means the AI model that ranks the candidates hasn't yet been formally tested against a set of stones identified by a lab, so we don't show a percentage that could look more precise than it is.

Treat the ranking as leads worth checking. As our testing improves, results may show a calibrated confidence level, and we will say clearly when that happens.
